Tour de Fashion, ar free and fashionable borrow-a-bicycle program brought to you by the Fashion Center BID, closed with Fashion Week, but the online auction lived on…until today, that is.
At the auction’s close at noon today, all the fashion bikes received bids and will soon be off to their rightful owners. Thanks to everyone who supported Tour de Fashion by riding and bidding on these amazing bikes! While we are delighted the bikes will get lots of mileage with their fashionable riders (and owners!), we have to admit we will miss having the fleet in our neighborhood.
…And in our very own conference room (the temporary home of the Tour de Fashion fleet until today :)
You should be cruising on one of the Tour de Fashion designer rides instead. And now’s your chance. Click on the flier below to view the Tour de Fashion designer bicycle collection, available on auction NOW via charitybuzz.

Our very own Fashion Center BID board member Eric Gural takes the Public School bike out for a spin in classic business attire. We think this hip cycle really “suits” him!
Wish we could have this Lela Rose bike, fully loaded with parasol, cup-holder, front basket and rear doggy basket (cute, little dog not included), RIGHT NOW for one last summer cruise around the Hamptons!
Because it’s a holiday weekend and we’re feeling generous and because we can’t contain our Tour de Fashion excitement any longer, we are giving you an exclusive look at Elie Tahari’s super-fashionable ride – in full – before it debuts on the streets of Manhattan. Enjoy!
You can take a joy ride on this luxurious cycle starting Thursday, September 8th.
Here’s a splash of color from the von Furstenbike. Stay tuned as we reveal the rest!

It’s still a work in progress but this soon-to-be Bollywood-inspired bike is a refreshing hue and pleasantly pink. Get a look at it now because it will soon be bedazzled, bejeweled and otherwise blinged out by the talented Amrita Singh!
We caught up with Nicole Miller in her studio and she was kind enough to let us snap a pic of her colorful, hand-painted bicycle crate. We can’t wait to see this designer ride when she’s done with it!
